How it works

From your hands to the state seal and back.

The apostille process is simple to describe and tedious to do. Here is the whole thing, including the parts we take off your plate.

How it works

The full journey of your document.

1

Send it or we pick it up

Mail your document with tracked shipping from anywhere in Texas, or choose mobile pickup in the Austin metro. We confirm your quote and requirements first.

2

We walk it in

Your document is hand-delivered to the Texas Secretary of State in Austin by our team. No drop boxes, no mail queue, no wondering where it is.

3

Tracked return

The apostilled document comes back to you with tracking and a status update at every stage, ready for the receiving country.

Behind the scenes

What "we handle it" actually means

  • Requirement check. We confirm your document is the right kind of copy (certified vs. photocopy), whether notarization is needed first, and whether your destination adds anything.
  • Notarization where needed. Non-recordable documents get notarized by our commissioned notaries before submission.
  • Form 2102 and payment. The state's request form and $15-per-document fee, prepared and submitted correctly the first time.
  • Hand-delivery. Your paperwork goes over the counter in downtown Austin, not into a two-week mail queue.
  • Tracked return. Sealed documents ship back with tracking, or hand-delivered in the Austin metro.

Texas or federal?

Texas-issued documents go through the state. FBI checks and other federal paperwork go through Washington, D.C. Not sure which yours is? Send us the document name and we will tell you.
